Tender description

IE wishes to procure the services of a suitably experienced company capable of overhauling and maintaining trainset Batteries on all IE's fleets including Electric Multiple Units (EMUs) and Diesel Multiple Units (DMUs), Carriages and Locomotives. It is anticipated that the proposed contract will run, subject to performance, for a three year period with the option, solely at IE's discretion, for an additional period of 12 months. The successful tenderer will be required to collect Batteries from one of IE's Depots located at Limerick, Portlaoise, Drogheda or Dublin, overhaul them in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM's) recommendations and return the Batteries thereafter. In addition the successful tenderer may be required, on occasion, to assist IE in un-programmed repairs. Maintenance of 201 Locomotive Battery Type SAFT SRX 1500 P.
