Tender description

The Crops and Sustainability Development Branch, within CAFRE, wishes to extend and update the milking parlour facility at Greenmount Campus. The work to extend the milking parlour at Greenmount Campus by 8 units is necessary to facilitate a restructuring of the herds. One herd size of circa 200 reflects the future scale of projected operations in the sector and will help demonstrate best management practice to the students. CAFRE also expect efficiency savings to arise in moving to one herd. The work is anticipated to be completed within 6 months. Regulation 32 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 has been applied to this requirement.
