Tender description

To ensure efficient operation of the forthcoming cargo terminal, the warehouse management and data collection process needs to be streamlined and automated to cover, respect of both underdeck pallets and reefer containers: — receipt of bill of lading (via electronic message, e.g. EDI); — lading (receiving) of cargo; — cross docking; — inventory management (storage location, stock control & picking for dispatch) using both barcodes and container number; — dispatch to receiver, including data output for invoicing and business reporting; and — barcoding designed to improve terminal throughput and performance (including, where applicable, rostering staff by skill set) and that interoperates with both static and radio shuttle pallet racking and plant. Two-way exchange of data with the existing ERP solution (IFS) for invoicing is essential, as is an integral or add-on vehicle booking system to support (required to support dispatch). As above.
