Rural Skip Service

Tender description

Teignbridge District Council has historically provided residents with an attended skip service for the disposal and recycling of bulky household waste. It is provided on thirty (30) Saturdays of the year for those who would otherwise need to travel long distances to reach their nearest recycling centre. The service visits various locations, and on occasions covers two (2) local sites on one (1) Saturday. It is the Authority's intention to continue to offer the service from April 2017 through the successful Contractor. The Service will exclude the collection of non Household Waste. It will also exclude Household Waste that is charged for at the Devon County Council Recycling Centres, garden waste and items that residents would be expected to present as part of their household waste collections. APPLICANTS MUST REGISTER AN INTEREST ON THE AUTHORITY'S ELECTRONIC TENDERING SYSTEM, WHICH CAN BE FOUND AT www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, TO ACCESS THE PROCUREMENT DOCUMENTS TO COMPLETE AND SUBMIT. ONLY APPLICANTS WHO HAVE REGISTERED AN INTEREST WILL RECEIVE UPDATE NOTIFICATIONS AS TO PROGRESS OF THE PROCUREMENT, RESPONSES TO CLARIFICATION QUESTIONS AND ANY OTHER INFORMATION PERTINENT TO THIS OPPORTUNITY.
