INTRODUCTION & SCOPE OF WORKS Mid and East Antrim Borough Council invites applications from suitably experienced and qualified contractors for the provision of Occupational Health. BACKGROUND Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is a ‘new’ Council which encompasses the former Ballymena, Larne and Carrickfergus Councils. Mid and East Antrim Borough Council came into existence on the 1 April 2015 and currently employs some 800+ staff. CURRENT PROVISION The Council is currently served by contractors contracted to the predecessor Councils Ballymena, Carrickfergus and Larne. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS The Council will appoint a contractor and the successful contractor will deliver the requirements. The successful tenderers (the contractor) will be required to work with Mid and East Antrim Borough Council processes, standardising where possible in order to improve efficiency and create savings. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring a smooth transition of service and working with Mid and East Antrim Borough Council to implement the contract to allow for a seamless transition of service. PURPOSE OF CONTRACT Occupational Health Services to include Pre employment medicals, medical referrals, ill health retirements, health surveillance, rehabilitation, LGV Licence, alcohol and drug testing etc.
