Harbour cranes

Tender description

To ensure the efficient operation of the new cargo terminal being delivered as part of the Dover Western Docks Revival project, the associated harbour crane capacity and capability needs to be improved. The cargo operation currently handles both underdeck pallets and reefer containers. Suitable harbour mobile cranes should be capable of handling up to post-panamax type vessels. Expressions of interest are sought from suitably experienced suppliers or groups of suppliers to participate in a soft market testing activity that will inform any potential procurement activity to be launched in future. Interested suppliers should email to procurement@doverport.co.uk by 31.5.2017, with ‘Mobile Harbour Cranes’ in the email subject and provide (i) company name, (ii) contact name, (iii) contact details (telephone/email). Please be advised that participation in this soft market testing activity does not serve as a prerequisite for participation in any future procurement activity. As above.
