Tender description

To survey all bird species probably or confirmed breeding in open moorland habitats within the specified area of the Bowland Fells SSSI (the ‘site’) and to estimate the numbers and the distribution of each these breeding species within the specified area of the site. This data will be used to help to assess the breeding bird assemblage score. The information will also be compared against data held elsewhere to make an assessment of changes and trends in the assemblage. The distribution data will help to show where the most important areas are and where there may be threats to and opportunities for future change.
