Summary of the work The User Acceptance Test Manager will be responsible for coordinating testing activities and marshalling resources for Technology Overhaul, a major programme of work within the FCO. This will involve driving testing and business readiness throughout User Acceptance Testing, Business Cutover and Go-Live for the FCO’s Oracle eBusiness Suite applications Specialist role User researcher Expected Contract Length 80 days Latest start date 17th April 2017 Who Speclialist Work With You'll be working within a programme team including technologists, and other service designers What Specialists Work On The UAT Test Manager will be responsible for coordinating testing activities and marshalling resources for Technology Overhaul, a major programme of work within the FCO. This will involve driving testing and business readiness throughout User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Business Cutover and Go-Live for the FCO’s Oracle eBusiness Suite applications (OEBS). The UAT Test Manager will lead the FCO in defining OEBS test plans and scripts, and take responsibility for their proper execution. The Test Manager will be responsible for engaging with FCO staff and other third parties as needed. Skills & Experience • At least five years’ experience of Oracle eBusiness Suite Release 12.1. including design and implementation • UK DV Security Clearance. • Ability to create or define custom SCCM collections, reports, packages and / or advertisements to support user requests • Experience of SMS, SCCM administration including MS patching and software deployments • Windows Vista and Windows 2010 technical support experience with advance knowledge of the Windows registry, files and folder security, local/domain user security, and operating system trouble shooting. • Able to carry out first line database fixes on Oracle systems • Able to use database query languages • Understanding of software lifecycle and release management within Central Government Nice to Haves • Strong Central Government Financial process and IT understanding, a professional accountancy qualification is preferred. • MSI and EXE application packaging experience is a plus • Professional IT/IS qualification such as ISEB or verifiable experience within a comparable test / developer environment • Desirable is a qualification in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or Prince2 Work Location Milton Keynes and London Working Arrangments You'll be working within a programme team including programme delivery, technologists and service designers. This includes face-to-face meetings.
