The framework agreement is intended to commence on the 1 December 2017 and will apply to the six districts and boroughs within the Dorset County Council boundaries (excluding Bournemouth and Poole). New contractual arrangements have been defined and will be introduced for all services under Dorset Care for older people; adults with physical disabilities and adults over the age of 65 with mental health issues; Children’s care and support at home and community support. The type of services within the framework includes, but is not limited to: Care and Support at Home, Roaming nights, Short breaks, Live in care, Rapid response, Residential and nursing care, Community and Innovation, Intermediate care, Day Opportunities, Children’s Care and Support at home and community support, Care and Support at Home in Extra Care. The Framework will use a variety of procurement methods to support flexibly; opportunities to expand Providers’ geographical reaches and to respond to the needs of Service Users in receipt of Direct Payments or Personal Health Budgets. These shall include but are not limited to: • Brokerage of individual packages • Fixed term block contracts • Individual Service Funds (ISF). Providers are also invited to tender for Block Contract arrangements to deliver Care and Support at Home within specified geographical areas of Dorset for a term of 3 years with the option to extend the contract by 1 year up to a maximum term of 5 years. Providers wanting to join the framework in order to bid for future call-offs and mini-competitions, i.e. their services fall outside of mainstream care and support at home for adults (not complex care), need not complete the quality questions/evaluation at this time. You will need to complete the Dorset Care Framework Company and Financial Questionnaire and submit. Additional quality evaluation criteria will be included in any future mini-competitions or call-offs. Keywords: Dorset Care Framework
