Tender description
Who Speclialist Work With The Specialist Company will be required to work with the Authority and other Suppliers to ensure coherent delivery of the services. The Specialist Company must have the necessary office facilities to support their own off-site working. It is anticipated that the Specialist Company will agree with the Authority to spend varying degrees of time located at the Authority’s site for face-to-face meetings and to carry out work of a security sensitive nature. What Specialists Work On 1. To write & execute manual and automation test scripts using Selenium / F# and VB Scripts/HP UFT against Oracle Apex Applications and .NET Applications. 2. To carry out installation and configuration of the Oracle Applications. 3. Liaise & support Pre-Production and Production Oracle and .NET releases. 4. To design the test strategy for new work streams / proof of concept, suggesting new tools and building prototype automation frameworks to support them. 5. To demonstrate / conduct presentations of automation test scripts to stakeholders. 6. To provide the Lead Test with accurate estimates for assigned task duration. Where the Work Takes Place The place of delivery of the contract shall be at such location as agreed between the Specialist Company and the Authority. Early Market Engagement N/A Working Arrangements The Specialist company shall use its own initiative as to the manner in which services are to be delivered; for the avoidance of doubt, the Specialist Company shall not be supervised, directed or controlled regarding how the services are delivered. The Specialist Company shall use its own equipment where security requirements permit. The Specialist Company is expected to provide the services on such hours/days as required to meet any deadlines, as agreed between the Specialist Company and the Authority. The Specialist Company shall provide the necessary resources to support the Services which shall include one or more specialists. Work Location The place of delivery of the contract shall be at such location as agreed between the Specialist Company and the Authority. Security Clearance Security Clearance (SC) will be required for the duration of the role. Incumbents are to follow both the letter and spirit of Army Headquarters security regulations. Minimum of 2+ years in coding in HP UFT 12.x against Oracle APEX and .NET Applications. Minimum of 2+ years’ recent experience of writing and executing automation test scripts using Selenium/Java/Canopy/F#/Specflow against Oracle APEX and .NET Applications. Experience in web browser testing including Apex 4.x & 5.x, IE8/IE11 & Chrome scripts compatibility. Must have used Red hat Enterprise Linux Server 6.x, Oracle 10g and 11g and regression / exploratory testing against Oracle Apex applications. Experience in using other tools such as Selenium, TestNG, ANT, Eclipse, WinSCP 5.x, Beyond Compare 3.x and Putty. Extensive experience in System Integration Testing and Continuous Integration (using Jenkins or TeamCity) against Oracle Apex Applications and .NET applications. Must have good knowledge of Oracle 10g and 11g including writing and executing complex SQL queries using Toad for Oracle 12.x & SQL Developer. Must have knowledge of API Testing / Web Services Testing using SoapUI 5.x. Has previous experience at deploying and testing manual and automation test scripts against CPU Patches and O/S patches for both Windows and Linux platforms, including Service Packs. To perform VM tasks and maintain test environment using VMware vSphere Client 6.x and VMware vRealize Automation Tool 7.x. A good knowledge & understanding of building and provisioning servers within Microsoft Azure. Current experience of testing on Windows Server 2012 R2 and SQL Server 2005, 2008 & 2012. Ability to write test plans, test reports, test strategy and user guides. Competency and proven ability in the use of MS TFS and HP ALM 12.x to maintain test suites, execution of tests and defect tracking. Has a development or DBA background in coding. Has current experience working on both pre-production and production Linux and Windows platform. Excellent communication and co-ordination skills when conducting daily stand-ups, team meetings and demonstrations. Nice to Haves Experience working within a secure defence environment. Experiencing of working in an Agile DevOps delivery environment. Experience and clear understanding of Agile Scrum / BDD Methodologies. Performance testing experience using HP Loadrunner. HP ALM 12.2 administrative experience. ISEB Foundation/Practitioner Qualification. No. of Specialists to Evaluate 3 Cultural Fit Criteria Work as a team within our organisation and other suppliers.
