Tender description

North Somerset Council are looking to test the market for Corporate Travel Providers. This is does not constitute a call for competition, this is a means to understanding the current market appetite. North Somerset are currently reviewing their arrangements around rail, air and hotel spend for staff alongside South Gloucestershire Council and Bath and North East Somerset Council and consider spend to be in the region of 400 000 GBP although this is an estimate at this point. Prospective contracts could look to be in the region of 3-5 years. We anticipate that we will be looking for a mainly online system that will allow us to search for and book, for at the minimum, rail, air and hotel. This should cover travel within and outside of the UK. This system will offer choice, value for money and safeguarding for our staff and the online system will be supplemented by with some phone/email support where necessary.
