Elliott Hudson College is working to change the face of education for thousands of students as they move into Post-16 education across Leeds. As its central mission, the College, established in September 2016 as a Free School, focuses on ensuring that young people in the Leeds city region enjoy access to truly inspirational academic Post-16 education. The College will have circa 950 students in September 2017, (expanding to circa 1 400 students by September 2019) who will have chosen to attend because of its reputation as a part of the nationally renowned The GORSE Academies Trust. Elliott Hudson College will provide for the brightest and most ambitious students from across the city, bringing them together in an exceptional place of learning which will be demanding and enjoyable. The College is significantly over subscribed and this affords opportunity to select students who show the greatest passion for their subjects and the determination to progress academically and develop personally. The driving ethos of the College is to ensure that all students in the Leeds city region, including those from some of the most disadvantaged backgrounds, are taken to a level of performance which sees them graduating from the best universities in the world. Under this contract opportunity, the Trust are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and resourced organisation to deliver all student, staff and visitor catering services to the College in addition to automatic vending. A close understanding and empathy with the College's ethos will be required. From September 2017, the College will relocate from its current home at Phoenix House to a permanent nearby home at purpose designed facilities at the White Rose office park (MC2 building). The social areas within the newly building are a vital and expansive resource for students, with a capacity approaching 400 seats and will be supported by excellent catering services, providing good quality and innovative food and drink at attractive prices to ensure high levels of service uptake. Brand new kitchen, servery and dining room facilities/furniture will be provided by the College in the new building from September 2017. An additional coffee and retail outlet on the Ground Floor will also be established to be funded by the provider's initial investment in addition to all light equipment required for each service point. The contract tenure is five years commencing 1.9.2017. Plans and equipment specifications for all service areas will be provided as part of the Invitation to Tender documents.
