Repair and maintenance services of medical and precision equipment

Tender description

This project is being advertised in OJEU and is below EU threshold spend. The time-scale which applies to OJEU will not apply in this project. Standstill period will be 10 days. The University of Birmingham wishes to enter into a contract for the service and maintenance of an FEI TALOS F200 STEM that will ensure that the relevant equipment is maintained and repaired to the highest quality standards. Accordingly the Employer is seeking competitive Tenders from suitably qualified contractors in response to this Invitation to Tender with a view to awarding a Contract to a single Contractor for the service and maintenance of the FEI TALOS F200 STEM. Based on the expected activity and budget, an indicative range for the total contract value may be taken as 85 000 to 100 000 GBP (exclusive of VAT) over a 3 years period. When evaluating cost, the quality of the overall bid and its constituent parts will be taken into consideration alongside the financial values. The above range is indicative and bids above and below the range are acceptable but bidders should ensure that where above the range, the additional quality offered is well substantiated and that where below the range that you ensure that you detail how you meet the minimum quality standards required.
