Tender description

PHE are looking to procure services to enable the preparation of comprehensive toxicological / epidemiological reviews for the Committee on Toxicity of Chemicals in Food, Consumer Products and the Environment (COT), Committee on Carcinogenicity of Chemicals in Food, Consumer Products and the Environment (COC), Committee on Mutagenicity of Chemicals in Food, Consumer Products and the Environment (COM) and the Advisory Committee on Pesticides (ECP). Please note that this project is currently under contract and therefore this opportunity will include transfer of undertaking from the incumbent provider. The preparation of comprehensive toxicological and/or epidemiological reviews will require the identification and critical appraisal of extensive published literature and/or, less commonly, of unpublished submissions on laboratory and other studies from industry. The areas covered by these committees include chemicals in the following areas: consumer products, pesticides and veterinary residues, environmental pollutants (air, soil, water and waste). In addition, the committees discuss general principles and new approaches to chemical risk assessment.
