Manor Farm Cycle shed Refurbishment

Tender description

The London Borough of Hillingdon (hereinafter referred to as LBH or the council) wish to carry out the dismantling of the existing timber framed cycle shed and the erection of a new timber framed cycle shed to match the existing style and materials and with brickwork repairs to the external walls. Although the Cycle Shed is not listed it forms part of a complex of listed buildings and Hillingdon Council Planners have indicated that they will regard the Cycle Shed as listed with regards any works. LBH Architects are in discussion with the planners and will obtain any necessary planning consent before works start on site. The Contract will be JCT Minor Works Building Contract with contractors design (MWD) 2011 with 2015 CDM Regulations Amendment and the Council Amendments The Contractor will be required to design the new structural frame and electrical works and to provide all necessary drawings and calculations to obtain Building Control Approval through Hillingdon Council for the works. Any Planning requirements arising on materials etc will be dealt with as Contract Instructions. The Contractor is to price the Tender Document as seen. During the dismantling the contractor will be required to carefully strip the existing roof tiles to conserve as many as possible for set aside and re use. The Shed is heavily overgrown with vegetation and is adjacent to the bowling green, public highway and entrance to the Manor Farm complex of buildings and the contractor is to provide all necessary measures to protect the public and to prevent access to the site during the works
