HIS Cesspool Replacement

Homes in Sedgemoor need to replace the existing communal cesspool within the garden of one of its residential properties The material stored is domestic sewage and the volume currently stored is estimated to be 12,000 litres (approx. dimensions of 4.00m x 2.00m x 1.5m depth of effluent within tank – this is an estimate only and accuracy is unknown). The current cesspool roof is failing and is in urgent need to replacement – it currently serves 2 properties however, the new cesspool is only required to serve one property as the other property needs are being sorted by the current owner/occupier (who is not Homes in Sedgemoor) . Under the British Water Code of Practice on flows and loads the design for the property is 5 persons. Under Building Regulations the property requires a cesspool of at least 38,400 litres capacity – this is significantly greater than the existing storage provision. Homes in Sedgemoor have had a report produced which identifies the needs of the works. Information from this report can be shared with interested parties on request. However currently Homes in Sedgemoor are seeking expressions of interest only from parties suitably qualified to quote for this work. Please be aware that any future contract will be subject to the requirements of the JCT Minor works 2011 contract. Interested parties should ensure that they are familiar with the terms of this contract prior to expressing an interest. Interested parties should also be aware that they will be appointed as the principle designer and principle contractor as defined by CDM 2015 regulations.
