Tender description

ECC is currently looking to re-commissioning services to support unpaid carers in Essex (over the age of 18yrs) with a view to having a new service/s in place by 1.4.2018. Our current provision for unpaid carers includes a range of support including; — a single point of contact for carers for Information, — advice and guidance, — connecting carers to carers groups and specialist support, — telephone and face to face emotional and practical support which sometimes takes place in carers' homes, — hospital link workers who support carers at point of discharge and support for carers with primary care providers, — short term support for those carers requiring immediate support, — support for carers supporting someone at end of life. ECC will be undertaking a tender process to secure a new service later in the year, however, we wanted to make you aware of types of services we are looking to procure. Therefore we will be hosting a market engagement event on 5.4.2017, This is for a service to support and guidance to unpaid, informal carers. Once the procurement is publish it will be undertaken as a single stage open procurement.
