Summary of the work Application Technical Lead for a project, which replaces replace services running on a windows desktop to Win10, Citrix, O365 Advise on legacy system changes either to address critical business issues or enable a smoother migration to new services Assure alignment with transformation plans (e.g networks, LoB application & infrastructure transformation) Specialist role Technical Architect Expected Contract Length 80 days Latest start date 17 April 2017 Who Speclialist Work With You'll be working within a programme team including programme delivery, technologists and service designers What Specialists Work On - Application Technical Lead for a Technology Overhaul project, which aims to replace all existing EUC services running on a windows desktop to Win10, Citrix, O365 - Advising on legacy system changes either to address critical business issues or enable a smoother migration to new services - Assuring alignment with transformation plans (e.g networks, LoB application & infrastructure transformation) - Assuring migration suppliers proposals, designs, IAs etc Skills & Experience • Current Valid Security Clearance to SC level • 5 years minimum as an Application Analyst/Technical Analyst • 5 years minimum Citrix or VMWare to architect level • Experience and knowledge of Windows including Active Directory • Experience of large scale complex international EUC transformation projects on single and multi-user windows platforms • Experience of EUC in an highly secure environment • Experience of virtualisation technologies and terminal solutions to an architectural level • Detailed understanding of ICA and what can be done to improve performance to extremely remote locations • Print Services experience (Multi Function, Follow Me, Low Bandwidth Remote Printing) • Experience of deploying/migrating applications built using a broad range of current and heritage technologies to a Windows 10 desktop environment or similar Nice to Haves • Experience of Application Discovery, Rationalisation & Packaging • Experience of migrating to O365 • Expert understanding of User Personalisation, settings capture and migration • Expert understanding of Application Remediation with the ability to troubleshoot to a highly detailed level in an End User Services environment (APP-V, Citrix, VDI, etc) • Experience in Software Provisioning & Packaging and COTS Application deployment Work Location Milton Keynes and London Working Arrangments You'll be working within a programme team including programme delivery, technologists and service designers. This includes face-to-face meetings. This means someone who: Is equally skilled, qualified, security cleared and able to perform the worker's duties Won't be interviewed by the end client before they start (except for any verification checks) Isn't regularly engaged by the end client Will do all of the worker's tasks for that period of time Will be substituted because the worker is unwilling but not unable to do the work Yes OR NO Yes and it is for the potential supplier to determine their tax status with HMRC. 5. In relation to the IR35 tool, please provide following answer which we require - Can the end client move the worker to a different task or project than they originally agreed to do? Yes - but only with the worker's agreement Yes - without the worker's agreement (if the worker doesn't want to change task or project, the end client would no longer engage them) No - that would need to be arranged under a new contract or formal agreement Yes with agreement, and it is for the potential supplier to determine their tax status with HMRC. 6. IR35 Question - Once the worker starts the engagement, can the end client decide how the work is done?
