Medway Council wishes to select and appoint a suitable Contractor and therefore invites contractors to submit a quotation to meet the Council's requirements set out in this Invitation to Quote (ITQ). It's the council's intention to award all works to one Principal contractor. The Contract is anticipated to commence on w/c 28th April 2017 and will continue for an estimated period 8 weeks with no option to extend unless this timeframe is deemed unachievable by the tendering contractors, or is terminated by the employer in accordance with the Conditions of the Contract. Scope of Works: Re-roof pitched roof tiling, soffits, fascias, gutters & downpipes along with associated scaffolding to Medway Council property in order to carry out roofing replacement works as necessary to render the roofs water tight. Works to include insulation in order to comply with current Building Regulations. Also to include for all necessary work for the replacement of soakaway as required. Variant bids Variants bids will be accepted, therefore tenderers who opt to submit a variant bid must also submit a compliant bid, and both bids will then be considered by the contracting authority evaluating team.
