Canteen and other restricted-clientele cafeteria services

Tender description

The London Borough of Hounslow (Council) is currently undertaking a worksmart programme to introduce a more efficient use of its office buildings; rationalising office space, channel shift and introducing more flexible working patterns. Worksmart has significantly decreased the footfall within the Civic and it is expected this will continue as more teams enter the programme. The Council intends to close its existing Civic Centre on Lampton Road and move staff to a new Civic building sometime mid-2019. However, before this date a cafeteria service, located within the Civic will continue to operate. The Council does not believe there is any economic benefit to go out to tender or for an external supplier to invest an interest in tendering. There will be no further investment in this service by the Council, in terms of investment in the infrastructure or replacing equipment.
