Tender for the Provision of an Advocacy Service

Tender description

The purpose of this service is to ensure advocacy provision in the borough is person-centred and flexible and that an individual’s need for advocacy, including IMHA, Care Act and NHS Complaints, can be met via a single referral by experienced advocates trained accordingly. The provision of IMCA is via a separate service jointly commissioned in partnership with Oldham MBC and Stockport MBC. The service will have positive working relationships with health and social care organisations to raise awareness of the service and to generate appropriate referrals. The service will also provide an educational and preventative role promoting self-advocacy and other forms of advocacy to individuals and health and social care organisations. In addition the service will build on the skills and abilities of individuals to help them reach their maximum potential. This includes the promotion of independence and prevention of care and support needs developing. Keywords: Advocacy
