Who Speclialist Work With Staff and managers involved in the administration of Revenues & Benefits What Specialists Work On To analyse the core administrative processes in Revenues & Benefits relating to: • the making of new claims for Housing Benefit and/or Council Tax reductions • the amendment of existing claims for Housing Benefit and/or Council Tax reductions due to change(s) in circumstances • the administration of Council Tax and/or Business Rates payments by Direct Debit • the administration of Council Tax Single Person Discount applications • the administration of changes of address so far as these affect liability for Council Tax and or Business Rates, or eligibility for Housing Benefit and/or Council Tax Reductions Where the Work Takes Place Council Offices, Newbury, Berkshire RG14 5LD Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements The work will involve face to face meetings with Revenues & Benefits team members in our Newbury offices. Work Location Council Offices, Newbury, Berkshire RG14 5LD Security Clearance Additional T&Cs Skills & Experience Excellent face to face interviewing skills. The ability to document an ‘as is’ process and to calculate the time and costs involved in an existing process. A good understanding of the legislation relating to the administration of Council Tax, Business Rates and Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reductions The ability to identify process inefficiencies and to make recommendations for change(s).
