NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) has a combination of skills and expertise which mean that we are very well placed to support health and care organisations and systems to address their digital changes in the context of the sustainability and transformation plans (STP). In order to complement these capabilities and to enhance our capacity to provide support, SCW is seeking to establish a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) of suitably qualified organisations that can provide a range of consultancy support, normally working as part of blended teams with SCW staff and associates, delivering services to our customers. In order to meet the requirements of our customers, South, Central and West CSU is seeking to appoint organisations to the Dynamic Purchasing System that have capability in some or all of the areas below(this is not an exhaustive list): — Information Strategy (e.g. IT governance, IT strategy and planning, Information security), — technical strategy and planning (e.g. Emerging technologies, Solution architecture), — business change implementation (e.g. portfolio/programme/project management and associated support), — business change management (e.g. business analysis, benefits management, organisational design), — development and implementation (e.g. system design, network design, testing, — user experience (e.g. user experience design and evaluation), — integration e.g. systems integration, specifically within a healthcare setting). South, Central and West CSU require organisations that understand: — the political context of the health and care environment, — the approaches and solutions already being used across a range of care settings including in citizen, care professional and management facing environments, — the key information needs for professionals and patients along whole care pathways, including enabling patients to access and contribute to their care record, and supporting care co-ordination, — key blockers that may need to be addressed when introducing new technology, such as interoperability and information governance, — where there are examples of best practice e.g. the re-design of processes for digital support of patients by specialist nursing teams.
