Tender description

The service will coordinate, facilitate, support and deliver a range of evidence-based interventions to improve oral health and reduce oral health inequalities within key target groups in Hampshire including: — The continued provision and development of a targeted supervised tooth brushing programme and oral health award scheme for 0-5 year olds in early years settings. — Targeted provision of toothbrushes and paste by health visitors and other early years practitioners. — Provision of online and/or face to face oral health promotion training and support for practitioners working with vulnerable adults and older people. — Provision of the fieldwork for the biennial dental public health epidemiology programme oral health survey of five-year-old children, in accordance with national protocols. The contract will have an initial term of 3 years with options to extend for up to a further 2 years.
