Tender description

The University of Sussex is seeking to appoint a Main Contractor to design and build a 362 space multi-storey car park on the West Slope of its Falmer Campus, to be known as the Jubilee Car Park (JCP) as set out in the Full Planning Application due 09/11/16 ref PP-04911364. It is intended that the new parking facility will be operational during November 2017 to partially compensate for the 460 spaces that will be lost once the construction of the new Life Sciences Building is started on the site of the existing Science car park. The new facility will replace the existing surface Arts car park and be located to the west of the Jubilee Building. The designs have been developed to RIBA Stage 4 and are based on a pre-cast concrete frame, with in situ stair and lift core, partially clad in a bespoke aluminium cladding system.
