Theatre Maintenance at the Atkinson in Southport

The Atkinson requires a contractor to provide ongoing maintenance to its two theatre spaces (referred to as the theatre and the studio). The Atkinson’s programme is multi genre and includes a wide range of performances and activities including dance, theatre, music, pantomime, comedy nights etc. The majority of the work can be planned in advance in response to the programme, but some maintenance and repair work may be required at short notice to ensure the efficient delivery of the programme. The Atkinson is a busy venue so work would have to be carefully planned, working with the programming team to ensure income generation and key times of the programming year was not affected. The main tasks are: * A twice yearly cleaning of the Harlequin vinyl dance floors (remove existing dressing, reseal and buff)in the theatre and the studio. * PAT testing of theatre and studio equipment – lights, cabling, hardware and provision of inventory to The Atkinson. * Grid clearance and reset (annual clean)in theatre and studio. * Maintenance and repair of theatre and studio lighting and sound equipment. * Lighting – repair and replacement of light fittings and bulbs throughout the theatre and studio. * Maintaining and updating sound and lighting desks. * Updating of necessary consumables- light fittings, replacement cables etc. Keywords: Specialist Lighting, Technical, Pat Testing, Theatre, Specialist Floor Cleaning
