Energy and related services. This tender is for a new licence holder who can administer the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) working closely with the ‘MCS company’ (a company limited by guarantee). Providing guidance and support to the Microgeneration Industry and ensuring standards are maintained, to uphold the reputation of a nascent industry at a crucial stage of its development. The licence agreement will give the licensee permission and conditions for use of the MCS Mark and Standards, the licensee will then be responsible for: — administering MCS including supporting the sublicensing of the mark and standards to accredited certification bodies. — overseeing the development of technical standards, and competency and skills criteria for Microgeneration installers. — maintaining and developing the Microgeneration Installer Database (MID). MCS is to be established as a not-for-profit private company, this company will be formed of Industry representatives and will be required to work with the licensed administrator. The licence holder will be required to report to the new MCS company who will be responsible for overseeing the scheme's decision making process and related liabilities.
