Aberdeenshire Council (the Council) invites offers from suitable Suppliers to undertake tasks relating to the safety management of Adventure Activities undertaken under its auspices. Tenderers are required to submit a method outlining proposals to meet the needs of this brief. The Council is a single-tier local authority in the north east of Scotland. It provides all the local government services in its area. An overview of the Council and in particular its policy on Off-Site Excursions including Adventurous Activities can be found on its website at http://www.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/ The Council is an Adventure Activities License holder for the purpose of enabling its services and establishments to provide outdoor learning and play opportunities as part of its day to day functions and/or to engage the services of external organisations to provide such activities on its behalf. The Council does not employ adventure activities specialists and the purpose of this tender document is to specify the requirements for the provision of a highly qualified and experienced Supplier who is responsible for providing specialist advice to the Council on its safety management and staff competencies.
