Tender description

— Brief Outline. o Contractual in-service support in the form of Design Authority (DA) Post Design Services (PDS) and Technical Support (TS) for Logistic Support Bridge (LSB). o The specially developed military components include rapid build, highly adjustable variable slope ramp systems; special ground beam assemblies and heavier transverse beam sections to cater for the heaviest military loads. The LSB can be configured to carry loads up to Military Load Class (MLC) 80T and MLC 110W and to cater for a wide variety of civilian loads including vehicles with low ground clearance. The standard decking finish of the LSB is a ‘Durbar’ chequer plate finish that enables tracked vehicles to cross without causing damage. o The primary mission of the LSB is for use on Main Supply Routes to upgrade these for heavier traffic, replace damaged civilian bridges, release assault and general support bridges and to provide a long span floating bridge capability. o Tasking may involve the consideration of proposals to incorporate changes for new requirements into the System and also the effect of these proposed changes on other equipments. — Contract info (Length and type). o A requirement for a new three year contract, from 1.9.2016 to 31.8.2019, with two one year extension options to 31.8.2020 and 31.8. 2021 respectively.
