Repair and maintenance services of boilers

Tender description

This Framework is for the provision of services of operation including supply of fuel and maintenance of the biomass boiler installations at properties across Fife. The biomass installations currently operated by the Council all use wood chip as the fuel source, however this contract shall include the supply of wood pellets should the Council decide to include any sites which have biomass installations installed or come under the Council's responsibility during the contract period and use wood pellets as the fuel source. As part of the requirement for us to receive renewable heat incentive payments for the biomass boiler installations we are required to purchase wood fuel from suppliers who are registered on the Biomass Suppliers List http://biomass-suppliers-list.service.gov.uk/ Where in the opinion of the tenderer certain existing plant or equipment items require replacement, separate pricing for this work shall be forwarded for the Council's consideration. These costs will not form part of the price for scoring purposes. The Council is not obliged to procure this work from the successful contractor.
