Tender description
Hampshire County Council and Surrey County Council work in Partnership in relation to owning and maintaining the Basingstoke Canal. There are 29 locks on the Basingstoke Canal with timber lock gates which need cyclical replacement. Lock gates are replaced during a winter works programme with gates being delivered to site between the months September-January. It is envisaged that on average 3 pairs of lock gates would be required to be replaced each season. The procurement route is likely to be dealt with under the ‘Open’ procedure.
