Tender description

A laser scanning or spinning disk confocal microscope is required for in vivo imaging of Drosophila embryogenesis, and live imaging of cells in culture. The decision on what type of confocal microscope to be purchased will be influenced by the evaluation of prospective supplier's offers against the requirement. The system must be capable of rapid imaging of at least 1 confocal stack/5 seconds at a minimum, and allow for long term time-lapse experiments with minimal photobleaching. The resolution must also be good enough to allow for tracking of actin and microtubule filaments.
