At our previous event we shared our draft specification and draft pricing schedule. There were also two presentations. Please see the attachments. Please note that this information is still subject to change. Cheshire East Council will be hosting a "bidders day" for the upcoming tender for Community Equipment Framework. We are asking potential suppliers to join us at the below location to discuss the upcoming contract requirements and formal procurement process. There will also be time for Q&A if potential suppliers have any questions. Date - Friday 12th February 2016 Time - 10.00 am - 1.00 pm Location – The Dean Row Centre, Dean Row Road, Wilmslow, SK9 2HA. One representative per organisation - please confirm your attendance by email to: Procurement@cheshireeast.gov.uk by 12 noon on Friday 5th February 2016. We are looking to go out to tender in March 2016. The Local Authority and the Clinical Commissioning Groups is legally required to provide equipment to meet the health and social care needs of Cheshire in a community setting. The Local Authority and the Clinical Commissioning Groups are also legally required to provide equipment to meet the health and social care needs of its population, and this means both parties have a shared interest in the management and distribution of equipment. Equipment provision spans clinical pathways, hospital discharge, reablement and aspects of social care. Community equipment supports independent daily living, includes equipment such as walking frames, beds, hoists and commodes. Choicequip is commissioned via a six-way Cheshire Partnership with Cheshire East Council, Cheshire West and Chester Council, Eastern Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group, South Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group, Vale Royal Clinical Commissioning Group and West Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group. Equipment is provided ordered via healthcare professionals (Prescribers) from both these areas, including district nurses and local hospitals. The provision and commissioning of the equipment is administered and managed through an office function called ‘Choicequip’ which is hosted by Cheshire East Council. Supplier Service – provides complex daily living equipment including Beds, Pressure relieving Mattresses, Hoists, Slings, Mattress Variators, Turners and Bathlifts This service element is accessed via prescribers from each organisation who undertake an assessment of individual need. These items are loaned to individuals however are maintained by the supplier who delivered them during office hours Monday to Friday including a 4 hour out of hours service.
