Supply of Specialist Adhesives and Chemicals

Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) have an on-going requirement for the supply of, and provision of specialist technical support for, specialist adhesives used as part of the maintenance cycle. The list of required products are from the following ranges; a. Thread Locking Compounds, b. Adhesives, c. Sealants, d. Contact Cleaners, e. Liquid Gaskets, f. Super Glue and Instant Adhesive, g. Pipe Sealing Cord The products currently in use are supplied by Henkel-Loctite and have been specified by the original equipment manufacturers of the various fleets of rolling stock currently in use within the organisation. IÉ are open to alternative makes and models of product however it will be the responsibility of each tenderer offering alternative products to demonstrate that their proposed product has the same mechanical and chemical characteristics as the listed Loctite product and can demonstrate that the proposed product has been proven in a rail environment previously. The successful tenderer will also be required to provide a high level of product support to the engineering departments and will be supported by the product manufacturer for specifying new products.
