Tender description

From the 4.3.2015, Glasgow City Council invites tender bids for the provision of selected purchased social care supports. The Council hopes to appoint a number of individual Providers, each operating under a Framework Agreement (‘the Framework Agreement’) in relation to 3 service categories and 4 sub groups as described below. Category 1 — Care and Support. i. Sub Group 1A Adults with mental health difficulties (Mental health); ii. Sub Group 1B Adults with disabilities (Disabilities); iii. Sub Group 1C Older people; iv. Sub Group 1D Children affected by disability. Category 2 — Day Opportunities/Employability Support. i. Sub Group 2A Adults with mental health difficulties (Mental Health); ii. Sub Group 2B Adults with disabilities (Disabilities); iii. Sub Group 2C Older people; iv. Sub Group 2D Children affected by disability. Category 3 — Short Breaks Services (Respite). i. Sub Group 3A Adults with mental health difficulties (Mental health); ii. Sub Group 3B Adults with disabilities (Disabilities); iii. Sub Group 3C Older people; iv. Sub Group 3D Children affected by disability. Glasgow City Council is not restricting the number of providers appointed to each of the framework categories and sub groups. All providers who successfully meet the evaluation criteria will be awarded onto the framework and ranked on the basis of best value as described in the Invitation to Tender (ITT). Bidders will be expected to indicate the geographical areas where they intend to deliver services. There are 3 social work defined areas in Glasgow which are Northeast, Northwest and South. Bidders can select 1, 2 or all areas. The contract is expected to run for 2 years. The contract commencement date will be determined by the tender process. The Council will have an option to extend the contract for 2 further 1-year periods, which will be exercised by the Council serving notice on the Applicant in accordance with the Council's Terms and Conditions.
