Tender description

South Lanarkshire Council, Housing and Technical Resources are seeking a suitably experienced organisation for the provision of the following service: — To provide a Housing Management and Housing Support Service to two standalone homelessness Supported Accommodation projects, owned by the Council and managed by the provider; one 12-bedded facility in Hamilton and one 11-bedded facility in Blantyre. — To maximise rental income on behalf on the Council, monitor payments, ensure residents complete and submit housing benefit applications, ensure payment arrangements are made for any rental costs not covered by housing benefit entitlement. — To provide a person centred support service to individuals and couples who have been assessed as statutorily homeless and whose support needs will be best met in a supported accommodation environment. — To work with service users who have multiple and/or challenging needs and understand the issues affecting ‘looked after young people’. — To support effective solutions to homelessness and prevent repeat homelessness by working with people to access and sustain appropriate temporary and permanent accommodation. — To work proactively with other partnership organisations to develop and provide packages of support. The Supported Accommodations will operate 24 hours per day / 7 days per week and will be staffed based on full capacity at all times.
