Tender description

As a State Party to the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention (‘Ottawa Treaty’) the UK is required to clear mined areas under its jurisdiction or control: this means 117 mine areas in the Falkland Islands. 35 have been cleared in four previous phases of demining and land release operations between 2010-2016. The current phase of demining (4b) will end in March 2016. For Phase 5, the Authority is seeking to procure the services of: (a) Demining Project Office; and (b) Demining Contractor. The tender process will take place from late March to August. The purpose of this PIN is to invite interested suppliers to a pre-tender Supplier Day at the FCO, King Charles Street, London SW1A 2AH. This will take place on Friday 11.3.2016. Suppliers are required to register their attendance on the FCO's e-Procurement portal: https://fco.bravosolution.co.uk (requires registration first time which is free and instantaneous), and navigate to PQQ 288. Names of all attendees must be disclosed to the FCO in advance via the BRAVOSolution portal and carry government issued photographic ID. Any individual who arrives without prior registration will not be admitted onto FCO premises.
