Tender description

The Board seek to establish a Gait and Motion Analysis Lab facility. Gait Analysis involves the study of human motion using the eye and brain of observers, augmented by instrumentation for measurement of body movements, body mechanics, and the activity of muscles. Gait analysis is used to assess, plan and treat individuals with conditions affecting their ability to walk. It is also commonly used in physical therapy and sports biomechanics to identify posture related or movement related problems with people with injuries. A Gait and Motion Lab is typically equipped with state of the art motion analysis system, 2 ground embedded force platforms and a range of pressure sensing technologies to gather detailed information on movement patterns of a wide variety of patients groups. Expressions of interest are sought from suitably experienced and qualified suppliers to provide the above Gait and Motion Lab.
