Tender description

NHS Lanarkshire invites interested parties to tender for a contract to provide Medical Instrument Sterile Services to NHS Lanarkshire commencing in April 2015. The contract will run for a period of 7 years (option to extend to 10 years) or 10 years (option to extend to 15 years). NHS Lanarkshire (NHSL) is the 3rd largest of the 14 regional NHS Boards in Scotland serving a population of approx. 650 000 and employs circa 12 500 staff. Services are provided across a number of sites including 3 acute general hospitals and a number of smaller hospitals and other healthcare sites across Lanarkshire. The overall objective of the contract is to provide NHSL with a Medical Instrument sterile service which is timely, efficient, and economic. Availability, punctuality, and reliability of the services are essential to this contract. The contractor will require to comply with the NHS Scotland Glennie Technical Requirements and Council Directive 93/42/EEC and be registered with MHRA.
