Tender description

Provide medical cover for events at the AFC that the public attend. There are estimated to be 14 occasions per year. Event Number Maximum members of the public Reception day long course 1 3600 Reception day short course 4 2100 Passing in parades long course 1 3600 Passing in parades – short course 4 2100 Graduation parade February 1 3900 Graduation parade August 1 5700 Junior soldiers orientation day 2 3600 Service is usually required from 0900 to 1500 although timings will be confirmed when each booking is made. There may be other occasions when there is a requirement for medical cover. The recommended guideline for first aid requirements are as follow: a. All events/functions will require a minimum of an ambulance with crew for crowd up to 5,000. b. Additional First Aiders will be required depending on the duration, location and type of activities of the events/functions organised. Ambulance & Crew Specification: a. Ambulance crews are trained in advanced medical techniques i.e. spinal immobilisation, fracture splintage and the use of oxygen and automated external defibrillation. b. Ambulance must be to a high roadworthy standard and carry appropriate levels of equipment. c. Any additional First Aiders in support to the Ambulance crew must be trained to HSE at work standard
