Tender description

The Trust intends to appoint a maximum of three design team consortia for the next 5 year capital programme concluding in March 2021 for all schemes with a total project value of 5 000 000 GBP or less. Schemes over this value will be individually tendered. The design team consortium is expected to be led by an Architectural Practice who will be the lead designer. The consortia will include Services and Structural Engineers. The detail of specific schemes that will comprise the capital programme are not yet decided, however the scale of funding included in the Trust's Medium Term Capital Programme is 55 000 000 GBP over the 5 year period. It should be noted that at this point the full 5 year capital programme is not fully defined and the Trust makes no commitment to fully achieve the level of spend anticipated. The Medium Term Capital Programme comprises both operational and strategic capital schemes. Operational schemes are generated through a bidding process that takes place from October each year, is reviewed and prioritised through various committees by the following February and forms the programme for the following financial year which runs for April-March. These schemes tend to be smaller in value and seldom exceed 1 000 000 GBP.
