Tender description

The council invites tender bids relating to the Sawmill within Pollok Country Park for one off innovative hydro-electric solution which shall produce the maximum possible electrical output of which the Council is expecting in the order of 240 MWh to be generated annually from the available potential energy. This output of 240 MWh could be achieved by 1. refurbishing the existing turbine(s), 2. providing new hydro-electric turbine(s), 3. any other innovative solution. The successful supplier will also be responsible for maintenance which shall be for an initial period of 10 years from installations. The council will have an option to extend the maintenance contract for two further periods of up to 4 years which will be exercised by the council serving notice on the Applicant in accordance with the council's Terms and Conditions.
