Tender description

This tender calls for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of an RFID enabled self-service system in DeValera Public Library, Ennis, Co. Clare. The purpose of this project is to successfully migrate the service at the DeValera Public Library from the existing electro-magnetic security system, with items issued and returned by staff, to a fully functioning RFID-enabled self-service system. Clare County library is requesting proposals for RFID-enabled self-service equipment, materials and services with the aim of providing an enhanced service to library members. This will be achieved by reducing waiting times for service by allowing self-issue and return of materials, enabling account management by users, payment of fines, management of reservations etc; achieving better efficiencies for staff with low levels of staff intervention in routine processes allowing for greater time for high-value customer services and providing increased and more relevant statistical information for management. This tender will select a skilled and experienced provider of library RFID equipment and services to supply and set up in DeValera Library, Ennis the following: • 2 RFID self-service kiosks • 4 RFID staff pads (3 fixed and 1 mobile) • 2 RFID stock management devices • 1 RFID detection system incorporating gates • Supply of RFID tags and conversion of existing stock This tender was awarded to Interleaf Technology Ltd, 55 & 57 Southern Cross Business Park, Boghall Road, Bray, Co.
