Tender description

Forest Enterprise England is inviting tenders from suitably experienced and competent contractors to carry out ground preparation work within North England Forest District. We will be awarding a framework agreement for ground preparation of previously harvested sites of which the majority of work will be trench mound ditch and dollop to a uniform pattern of 2 750 mounds per hectare. In addition we require trench mound ditch and dollop to a number of lower densities, site drainage, brash raking, formation of access tracks and shooting mounds. Our intention is to award this framework agreement for a period of 4 years with break points available at the end of years 2 and 3. The District requirement is for 645 hectares in year 1, rising to approximately 850 hectares in the subsequent years. The work will be split into 5 lots, a mix of geographical directly awarded lots and a framework wide lot where works will be awarded as a result of mini-tender competitions.
