Tender description

The School of Engineering requires a bundle of equipment to enable the analysis of electromyography (EMG), inertial based kinematics and foot pressure distribution for patients and volunteers performing activities of daily living in the refurbished MSK Research Facility. The EMG and inertial data must be collected within a single, integrated wireless based sensor system whilst multiple pressure distribution systems are required to enable the collection of in-shoe pressure data and also when simply walking on the ground (e.g. a mat/walkway based system). Additional pressure distribution equipment is needed to analyse surface contacts within the knee joint during cadaveric studies. It is important that the muscle activation patterns of at least 32 muscles can be measured simultaneously and that the quoted equipment can integrate with the existing motion analysis system (Qualisys) and EMG equipment (Delsys).
