Tender description

North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is a commissioning support service hosted by NHS England and is managing this procurement process for and on behalf of NHS England (North) Cheshire and Merseyside (the contracting authority). The contracting authority is proposing to commission APMS services currently being delivered from Old Hall Surgery, 26 Stanney Lane, Ellesmere Port, CH65 9AD the contract is for a period of 4 years with the option to extend for a further period of 1 year solely at the discretion of the contracting authority. The contracting authority has a set price of 76,44 GBP (80,59 GBP less 4,15 GBP for out of hours opt-out) for the capitation payments per weighted patient. This is equivalent to the GMS price. This capitation payment is designed to cover the Essential and Additional Services element of the contract as per the NHS (General Medical Services Contracts) Regulations. The successful bidder will be eligible for an annual uplift to the set price of 76,44 GBP per weighted patient in line with the national uplift to GMS contracts. This will apply from April 2017 Patient List Weighted = 6 058, Raw = 5 675. Payments will be adjusted for list size changes on a quarterly basis. In addition to capitation payments the practice will be eligible for DES and QOF payments in line with GMS contracts.
