Tender description

Listening to children and young people lies at the heart of the Government's programme to improve outcomes for every child. This is especially important for those times when children have a problem, concern or want to make a complaint. Commissioned services will allow the local authority to meet its statutory responsibilities for looked after, vulnerable and at risk children and young people. In this context BBC is inviting potential service providers to submit a tender for the provision of Issue Based Advocacy, Residential Visiting Advocacy and Return Interview services. The contract will operate for a maximum of 5 years (3 + 1 + 1) from 1.4.2017. Bedford Borough Children's Services will ensure that children they are working with will have access to advocacy services that will assist them in being heard, where this is appropriate. The service will cover all Looked After Children, whether they are in residential homes, foster care or secure accommodation.
