Tender description
The Company requires a number of services for a variety of waste streams that are deposited at 22 Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) that are located across York and North Yorkshire. The Company have therefore decided to split the contract into Lots. Information regarding the different Lots is detailed in the table below. The Contractor will be required to provide daily collections from the network of Collection Points. The collection frequency of the wood from the Collection Points will be driven by the Company. The Company shall notify the Contractor where there is a need for a collection. It is anticipated that a procedure for this will be agreed with the successful Supplier. The Contractor will be responsible for arranging, at its own cost, the recovery or recycling of the wood. The Contractor will be required to provide daily collections from the network of Collection Points. The collection frequency of the ferrous metal from the HWRCs will be driven by the Company. The Company shall notify the Contractor where there is a need for a collection. It is anticipated that a procedure for this will be agreed with the successful Supplier. The Contractor will be responsible for arranging, at its own cost the recycling of the ferrous metal, the large domestic appliances and the food and drink cans. The Contractor will be required to provide collections from the network of Collection Points. The collection frequency of the non-ferrous metal from the Collection Points will be driven by the Company. The Company shall notify the Contractor where there is a need for a collection. It is anticipated that a procedure for this will be agreed with the successful Supplier. The Contractor will be responsible for arranging, at its own cost the recycling of the non-ferrous metal. The Contractor will be required to provide weekly collections from the network of Collection Points. The collection frequency of the used engine oil from the Collection Points will be driven by the Company. The Company shall notify the Contractor where there is a need for a collection. It is anticipated that a procedure for this will be agreed with the successful Supplier. The Contractor will be responsible for arranging, at its own cost the recycling of the used engine oil. The Contractor will be required to provide collections from the network of HWRCs. The collection frequency of the WEEE B from the HWRCs will be driven by the Company. The Company shall notify the Contractor where there is a need for a collection. It is anticipated that a procedure for this will be agreed with the successful Supplier. The Contractor will be responsible for arranging, at its own cost the recycling of the WEEE B. The Contractor will be required to provide collections from the network of Collection Points. The collection frequency of the WEEE C from the HWRCs will be driven by the Company. The Company shall notify the Contractor where there is a need for a collection. It is anticipated that a procedure for this will be agreed with the successful Supplier. The Contractor will be responsible for arranging, at its own cost the recycling of the WEEE C. The Contractor will be required to provide weekly collections from the network of HWRCs. The collection frequency of the WEEE D from the HWRCs will be driven by the Company. The Company shall notify the Contractor where there is a need for a collection. It is anticipated that a procedure for this will be agreed with the successful Supplier. The Contractor will be responsible for arranging, at its own cost the recycling of the WEEE D. The Contractor will be required to provide weekly collections from the network of Collection Points. The collection frequency of the WEEE E from the Collection Points will be driven by the Company. The Company shall notify the Contractor where there is a need for a collection. It is anticipated that a procedure for this will be agreed with the successful Supplier. The Contractor will be responsible for arranging, at its own cost the recycling of the WEEE E. The Contractor will be required to provide collections from the network of Collection Points. The collection frequency of the used vegetable oil from the Collection Points will be driven by the Company. The Company shall notify the Contractor where there is a need for a collection. It is anticipated that a procedure for this will be agreed with the successful Supplier. The Contractor will be responsible for arranging, at its own cost the recycling of the used vegetable oil. The Contractor will be required to provide collections from the network of Collection Points. The collection frequency of the household batteries from the Collection Points will be driven by the Company. The Company shall notify the Contractor where there is a need for a collection. It is anticipated that a procedure for this will be agreed with the successful Supplier. The Contractor will be responsible for arranging, at its own cost the recycling of the household batteries. The Contractor will be required to provide collections from the network of HWRCs. The collection frequency of the automotive batteries from the HWRCs will be driven by the Company. The Company shall notify the Contractor where there is a need for a collection. It is anticipated that a procedure for this will be agreed with the successful Supplier. The Contractor will be responsible for arranging, at its own cost the recycling of the automotive batteries. The Company is inviting tenders for the provision of a tyre collection service. It is primarily for the collection of tyres from the Collection Points and council depots in York and North Yorkshire. Additionally, the Contractor will be required to provide a 24 hour collection service for fly-tipped tyres in York and North Yorkshire. The Contractor will be required to provide regular collections from the Collection Points and provide on demand collections from the council depots and locations of fly-tipped tyres. The collection frequency of the tyres from the Collection Points should be determined by the Supplier but should be sufficiently frequent to ensure that there is always capacity available. The Contractor will be required to provide weekly collections from the network of Collection Points. The collection frequency of the gas bottles from the Collection Points will be driven by the Company. The Company shall notify the Contractor where there is a need for a collection. It is anticipated that a procedure for this will be agreed with the successful Supplier. The Contractor will be responsible for arranging, at its own cost the onward costs of processing the reuse, recycling or disposal of both the repatriable and un-repatriable gas bottles. The Contractor will be required to provide frequent and regular collections from the network of Collection Points. The collection frequency of segregated glass bottles from the Collection Points will be driven by the Company. The Company shall notify the Contractor where there is a need for a collection. It is anticipated that a procedure for this will be agreed with the successful Supplier. The Contractor will be responsible for arranging, at its own cost the recycling of the segregated glass bottles. The Contractor will be required to provide collections from the network of Collection Points. The collection frequency of the plasterboard from the Collection Points will be driven by the Company. The Company shall notify the Contractor where there is a need for a collection. It is anticipated that a procedure for this will be agreed with the successful Supplier. The Contractor will be responsible for arranging, at its own cost, the recovery or recycling of the plasterboard. The Contractor will be required to provide a delivery point for the plasterboard that is deposited at its the network of Collection Points. The Contractor will be responsible for arranging, at its own cost, the recycling of the plasterboard.
