The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board who are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified supplier to supply a range of External Quality Assurance (EQA) Material for the Welsh External Quality Assurance Service (WEQAS). The majority of the Scheme material is adulterated and processed in-house to provide pools that represent the pathological ranges of the common analytes measured in diagnostic laboratories. However, increasingly material is used unadulterated. A small number of schemes require specialised material to be supplied by an external source for distribution.
