Litter Composition Survey

Details

Published
20 December 2016

Tender description

The objective of this survey is to provide counts of litter types across a range of land use types in England in early 2017. The data will be used to help measure the 'baseline' for the National Litter Strategy by supplementing data from other sources, particularly citizen science data via mobile phone apps and voluntary litter surveys. Whilst these data sources are very valuable, there are some data gaps, eg rural areas and certain urban areas. The litter composition survey will play a very important role in helping to fill these gaps.
